So...my bike is broke again. Same problem. Same issues.

FRUSTRATING.

Phoning up the garage tomorrow to get it picked up.

I want to know why this is happening. And I don't want the garage to say "Oh we don't know...we just got a new loom and it fired up first time." I want a definitive "The ____ was broke."

I'll keep you updated.

HID is off and binned. o2 Eliminator is also off but not binned.

Hey all,

Got the bike back last night. They "Cleaned the pick-up and rotor and it fired first time."

I heads out to my bike and put the key in. Twist, wait for the dial sweep and lights to go out. "EEEEE EEE" nothing.

Are you joking me!!!?

I try it again but give it some gas and it fires up, rather sluggishly.

I get on and head round to the front of the shop and turn it off and back on again. It started but the revs were below 1k. I then revved it to 13k and went on my way. Once i got home I tried it and it fired first time.

This morning when I went to start it to head to work it fired first time again. SO hopefully that's it!

If anyone can explain to me what the pick up and rotor are, I would be most appreciative.

I have managed to keep my faith in the GSR, lets hope this doesn't happen again.

Cheers

a pick up is a sort of van  Grin

a rotor is what makes a helicopter fly  Kiss

probably the unit that tells the ignition coils  which spark plug to fire

in the good ole days this was a distributor- rotor arm-points -coil -leads-plugs

but what do i know Cheesy
