I know I'm probably digging old forums up but I thought I'd post after I saw something here...

Frasers of Gloucester
http://www.frasersofgloucester.co.uk/
261 Bristol Road Gloucester. GL2 5DB

I have to give them 3.5/5

I had my bike picked up from Frasers in Gloucester to replace the puncture tyre, have the service and add the R&G protectors... Whilst they are very good in what they do I found the bracket that has the engine switch on it broken and they fixed it using some sort of glue after I hassled them a bit. Also they said I should query it with Suzuki to get it repaired on warranty (as well as looking into the mirrors). They weren't very knowledgeable on warranties as they kept insisting I had to send of the warranty transfer card.

I called Suzuki up and they said the dealer should have known this wasn't necessary, as it's the bike that's warrantied, not the driver! After I phoned Rachel up again, they said they were going to chase it up but nothing happened. I kept pestering them but they did nothing and as a result my warranty expired...

Whilst I think they are very good in servicing and repairs, I have a feeling they do not want to do any work that is covered under warranty!

even if your warranty is up they still have to sort it for you serissan as you claimed on the warranty before it expired if they don't speak to trading standards they'll sort it out for you

I spoke to suzuki a few weeks back a couple of times and they said that all work must be carried out within the warranty period. It is not enough to simply make the claim.

But at the end of the day, Frasers never made the claim, that's what I was trying to chase them up on. Sadly I've had a very stressful month at work and it's been on the bottom of my to do list so after speaking to them 3 times, I kinda gave up... They fixed the bracket (even though with glue rather than replacing it) and the mirrors were always an issue I knew... I guess it's encouraging to know that suzuki would have been willing to replace the mirrors under warranty...

That’s strange as I had and intermittent fault last year (one of those faults that if you had to pay for it yourself you could live with) on my VW car 2 months before warranty was due to expire, VW dealer reported claim to VW UK, due to work and other commitments and as the fault was not worrying me I did not take the car back to dealer till a month after warranty had expired, part was replaced without any problem

I would get onto Suzuki and tell them the fault was reported and it was the dealer that caused the delay

The other thing is it a warranty claim?  broken bracket, not the normal thing to go

Well, as the bike was not under any extreme pressure, it shouldn't have broken... But anyway on my claim with Suzuki, I focused with the mirrors... But they were very clear that all work had to be carried out within the warranty period. A claim was never made. Even if I wanted to make a case out of it, I have no proof that I asked them to put a claim through as it was all done through the phone. And the dealer could come back and say, well I needed to see the bike before I put a claim through etc...

I wouldn't get anywhere and tbh, I don't have the time to deal with this anymore...It's one of those cases where it's not worth the energy...

Having said all of that I might even take it back for its service there... they are quite good and accomodating when you are going to pay... It's a shame they can't be arsed to do anything on warranty!

London. West London Suzuki near Heathrow. 5* Bought 57plate silver GSR £3200 10k clock. Told me they wanted to give her a full service and valet before I took delivery of my baby. They offer dyno runs and the like. whole process took 1 hour from start to finish to buy the bike during which time they offered loads of coffee and general info/help. The junior salesman/floorstaff were just as happy to chat to me about bikes while we waited for the finance to be approved. They are also going to run through every little detail of the bike when I get her next week. This is the kind of service I'd expect of a £10k sale not £3k. I shopped around for a month at different shops. service put me off everywhere. Finally settled on WLS even though they're 22 mile away from me. I'll defo aways recommend them. Oh and intermediate service is +-£100 and major is +-£300. I stand corrected though. Not bad for London though. Jason at WLS was gr8 Smiley thumbs up.
